subscribe to be valentines forever

I meet you here in February, a divisive month amongst lovers and haters alike, to discuss a careful selection of weird, chic finds—just for you. A pink + red combo lover and hopeless romantic for beautiful objects myself, you might notice a theme… but consider it purely a coincidence. Unless you’re into it, then it was on purpose.

Below find 24 perfect things, from fabulously dramatic tea to the best boots I’ve ever seen on eBay to odd-chic homewares, that I’ve fallen in love with this month. You just might fall in love too… this piece is a love spell after all.

Today’s categories include:

  • Perfumes (only the strange & the beautiful)

  • Wardrobe finds, bits, bobs

  • Beauty & “wellness,” so they say

  • Homewares & sentimentals. Maybe even a gift

Let’s start with those romantic, strange perfumes…

perfumes (only the strange & the beautiful)

Dolly, Daddy, & some other company.

  1. Dolly by Barre, $61-$104 (marzipan, lipstick, purple suede, iris, incense, soft wood)

  2. Little Flower by Régime Des Fleurs x Chloë Sevingy, $275 (blackcurrant bud, pomelo, peony, ottoman rose, honeysuckle, black tea, bleeding heart, palo santo, guaiac wood, musk)

  3. Matchbox Romance by Binaurale, $165 (cardamom pods, cinnamon leaf, fennel, rose de mai, carnation, vanilla bourbon, olibanum, tobacco leaf, haitian vetiver)

  4. Blackmail by Kerosene, $152 (raspberries, plum, vanilla, sandalwood, oud, amber, musk)

  5. Daddy by Universal Flowering, $85-$220 (black pepper, guaiac wood, hinoki, porcini, oakmoss, vetiver, benzoin)

  6. Lover’s Leather Perfume Oil by Cyklar, $24 (saffron, thyme, leather, geranium, clove, patchouli, agarwood, sandalwood) (PS this is my favorite bodycare line right now. I freaked when I saw these freshly launched AND affordable perfume oils)

Psssst. My trick is to go on Lucky Scent and load up on $5 samples so I can try them all.
