polyvore-coded outfit moodboards
if anyone asks how to describe my style... send them this post
IYKYK.
Before DIGITAL FRUITS was born, a (fabulous) seed was planted.
As a former Tumblr fashion blogger—my diva origin story, if you will—Polyvore has always held a special place in my heart. And a decade later, not much has changed. Frankly, thank God. 17-year-old Emma was so much wiser and cooler. Whether I’m prepping for shoots as a stylist or just playing around in my spare time, I’m still building outfits the same way I did in high school.
Typically, I collage pieces together on Canva. But! I also have used Shoplook a ton. The closest Polyvore dupe I could find.
Over the years, I’ve accrued quite the catalog of outfit moodboards. Some were the genesis of shoots I’ve styled, others came from having too much time on my hands and letting my digital creativity run wild. It quickly became a solid outlet for me to play with fashion as a creative medium (without spending a dime. Love).
I started to really connect with my own sense of style, and trust my own taste.
At some point, I started posting these moodboards on TikTok. Why not? And that’s when the weird-chic ethos of DIGITAL FRUITS started to take shape. I started to really connect with my own sense of style, and trust my own taste. I started to meet like-minded fashion enthusiasts that I wouldn’t of connected with any other way. And honestly, if it weren’t for the community I found there, DF wouldn’t exist today. ILY TikTok OGs!!!
I had been wanting to scratch the itch again, and after a chat (that may or may not be the next DIGITAL FRUITS podcast episode…) (it is) with
—one of my favorite dopamine-dressers and fashion friends who I met through posting my freakass outfits on TikTok— I knew it was time. So? The weird-hot outfits are back.
It’s simply what the divas want, and I do it for the divas. In the name of fabulous, digital fashion. I couldn’t resist…
Today, find a week in outfits from the archive that still feel inspired and fresh. Take what feels interesting.
Your week in weird-chic outfits
Monday
TO WEAR… to the grocery store.
Tuesday
TO WEAR… to your office job.
Wednesday
TO WEAR… to your secret side gig.
Thursday
TO WEAR… to mocktails and sushi night.
Friday

Sunday
TO WEAR… to the dentist.
Which of these outfits feels the most like you?
For me, I’m biased. So, I would legally have to say all of them. But right now, I am feeling Saturday. I have been hard at work trying to make neon come back for the last few years and stand by a pop of highlighter yellow-green via necklace. Still dreaming about those Gimaguas neon flats drop I missed… UGH! RIP. If anyone has the Gimaguas neon flats plug, LMK.

i am obssseessssed with this. when i was a teenager i was so into Polyvore. I remember blogger Gala Darling used to do these, giving a prompt "what to wear when..."
This post made me feel really nostalgic. Polyvore was my home and a place to dream, creating stylish fashion moodboardd. It was a welcome distraction away from life’s struggles. Sad they shut down but thank you for this reminder of what we once had
