essentials for a perfect spring morning.
happy spring πΈπΈπΈ matcha that doesn't taste like grass, a perfect shower routine, squishy shoes, the ONLY white tee you'll need, earthy cozy perfume, & making your home smell like a sauna
I do not claim to have curated the perfect spring morning, itβs just something that is true. It has taken trial, error, discovery. But it has been done. Itβs not my fault that my taste for multi-sensorial experiences is something close to holy.
Is this another weird chic IT list but just a little more specific and kind of 5 (s)senses from the FRUITJUICE series coded? Maybe. You decide.
Anyways, let me tell you about the things that have been making my mornings smell like magic, feel ethereal, and taste delicious.
Ahhhhβ¦ π§ββοΈ Nothing brings me peace and serenity like talking about things Iβm obsessed with. Letβs get started.
Take your time waking up. Stretch, roll around, lay on a heat pad. Then fling open the curtains and the windows. Maybe even throw some meditative ambient music on to assist in your slow, scrumptious morning. But make sure to listen to the birds chirping too.
Nervous system feeling particularly angry? Before we get too romantic and cozy, may I suggest my favorite unsexy product in the world? I give youβ¦
No.. you donβt get it. This is mother. Get the velcro wrap around one. Sling it around your neck or over your forehead to calm your vagus nerve. Feeling a little too hot in the sun? Headache Hat. Try it over your thighs even to cool off quicker. I really canβt recommend this enough. ESPECIALLY if you have chronic headaches or nerve pain like me.
Okay. Onto the sexy-gorgeous stuff. Now that weβre up, letβs set the mood withβ¦
My yoga studioβs bathroom is one of the best smelling places Iβve ever been. It reminds me a lot of the Snow Peak Campgrounds I visited last summer. Kind of a mix between forest air, woods, a hot sauna, an aromatherapy candle from a spa, and campfire smoke. Itβs always so soothing, and I figured out why it smells so insanely fabulous. This incense! I genuinely think this is the best incense I have ever smelled in my life.
And if you really want to copy my yoga studioβs bathroom like I do, pair it with the DEDY Hand Wash from Davines (I am a Davines devotee. As youβll see in a second).
To complete the home space vibe, pair your incense with some lit pillar candles and a smart bulb on a nice orange-y warm setting for the first moments of the morning.
Take some time to breathe, stretch, and move slowly as your space fills with soothing, woody Hinoki.
This is the perfect time to consider some facial massage in your routine. Iβve been usingβ¦
And itβs fabulous. LOVE the stainless steel, easier to clean and I have a little peace of mind knowing itβs anti-bacterial. My best friend Sparky (who I might be doing a DIGITAL FRUITS adjacent with project soon for the fashion babesβ¦ π) recommended this to me and I havenβt looked back since. For me, a former gua sha skeptic- and generally someone who buys wellness tools during an ADHD dopamine shopping spree and then lets them collect dust after one use- Iβve actually been loving the morning (and night) routine of following a gua sha routine for lymphatic drainage. My facial muscles are SO TIGHT and get even more wound up as I am a generally anxious person who holds a lot of tension. Itβs nice to set the tone for the day with something that helps release that a bit.
And, as I mentioned in the last weird chic IT list, Iβve been loving the Sabbatical Beauty Rejuvenating Eye Gel-Oil (by queen
) for not only my eyes but 1000 purposes. Recently, I added a new purpose. This is perfect to use with my gua sha! (If you want to give Sabbatical Beauty a go, I have a 10% off discount code for you! Itβs DIGITALFRUITS)Now that our home feels like a sauna in the middle of the forest, I couldnβt forget the ultimate early spring scent combo x shower routineβ starting with your morning shower products all the way to the final spritz of perfumeβ¦
